I, James Milam, of said county and state, do make and ordain this my last
will and testament.
1st--I do will and direct that after my decease my body shall be buried in
a decent and Christian-like manner which I consign to the earth till the
resurrection while I devote my spirit or soul to God who gave it to be by
Jesus redeemed from all iniquity. I will and direct that my just debts be
paid by my executrix hereinafter named. After the payment of my just
debts, I will and bequeath all my estate, real and personal, monies,
accounts and effects, to my beloved wife, Dorcas Milam, whom I make my
executrix.
2nd--I will and direct that if my said wife Dorcas shall find it necessary,
according to her judgment, for the interest of the farmily, that she have
power to sell and dispose of any property bequeathed by me to her, whether
personal or real estate, at any time.
3rd--If any part of my estate remains till the death of my wife herein
named, it is my will and desire that she bestow it to my chlidren according
as she may think they deserve.
In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day (of)
February, 1841.
