Bloomington (IN) Saturday Courier, Feb 16, 1884, p. 1.
Willard Cox, accompanied by his bondsman, William J. Alexander of
Bloomington, arrived Tuesday morning and appeared in Judge Mallott's court
to answer to the charge of bastardy preferred by Howard Crooke of
Odon. The judge decided that this is not Cox's residence and dismissed the
case. The two gave the GAZETTE a social call, and we found Mr. Alexander a
very pleasant and intelligent gentleman. He had not been in Washington
sine 1854 when he came to enter some land in the old canal
office. Washington GAZETTE.
