Subject: [INMONROE] Harvey Roseberry Tried for Theft

Harvey Roseberry was placed on trial Tuesday charged with stealing $100
from the house of Jack Dowden in January, 1883. Roseberry was working for
Dowden at the time and on the above date he suddenly left the country. A
few hours after his depature it was found that the money was
gone. Roseberry was captured at Urbana, Illinois, last week and Sheriff
Grimes went after him. The trial lasted until Wednesday night and on
Thursday morning the jury brought in a verdict of guilty.
