Monroe County, January the 9th day, 1821 (difficult to read because of ink
spill; could have been 1824).

In the name of God, Amen.

I, Paul Whisenand, weak in body though sound in mind, feeling that my
dissolution near at hand and deem it necessary to make some disposition of
my soul and property therefore in the first place (I) commit my soul to God
and his keeping.

Secondly, it is my will that my just debts be paid and after that my
personal property to be equally divided between my beloved wife and children.

Thirdly, my land to be sold and the proceeds of which to be equally divided
between my beloved wife and children to be laid out in lands for their benefit.

Fourthly, I appoint John W. (?M) Jinkins executor and my beloved wife
executrix of my last will and testament.
