Marilyn, Lois, Judi and Randi:
I have the Brown County Family Study on William McCoy, compiled by
Kenneth and Helen Reeve.
The Elizabeth McCoy that Marilyn refers to is the Grandmother of Joel
McCoy referred to in the several messages concerning Edward Ford killing
Frank and Joel McCoy.
Elizabeth married David Young Sr. in Monroe Co. She had two sons prior
to moving to Monroe Co., (out of wedlock???)
One of those sons was Hiram McCoy b. March 8, 1823. He married
Lucretian Richardson April 25, 1847. They had 9 children. Their son
Joel was born Nov 28, 1854.
Joel married Serepta Elizabeth Cox in Monroe Co., Aug 27, 1874. They had
10 children and Frank McCoy was the oldest born ca. 1877.
My relationship to the McCoy family is through Elizabeth McCoy's sister,
Mary (Polly) McCoy who married my gg grandfather, Pleasant Robertson in
Monroe Co., June 26, 1834.
I appreciate the discussion concerning the "murder" of Frank and Joel
McCoy.
If I can be of any help, please feel free to contact me. I would also
like to have any amplifying information on this line or the Robertson
line. Thanks!
