Randi,
Thank you for the info and the advice. I have the marriage of William
Curtis Hillenburg and Laura Alice Axsom (1890) on my list of records to
order from Monroe County. However, I have a feeling this in one of which
there may not be a marriage application. The online index includes the
marriage, but I can't find Curtis or Alice in the index for supplemental
applications. I'm hoping the index is flawed in this case.:)
If anyone has documentation to prove that William Curtis Hillenburg was the
son of John Hillenburg and Martha Jane Deford, I would appreciate receiving
that documentation.
I also need help with the children of William Curtis Hillenburg and Laura
Alice Axsom.
My list of children is gathered from the 1900 Monroe County census and the
1920 Marion County census (Laura Axson, divorced, with three Helenburg
children). The 1920 census includes a son, Earl. Other researchers (at
least 3) include a son, David. Since I am missing the 1910 census, I do not
know if David and Earl was the same person or if there were two sons, David
and Earl.
Thank you,
Norma Z.
