My fathers birth record in Monroe Co. list him as being a girl. With a different name. It was the name my grandmother had planned if the baby was a girl. I thought maybe there had been twins that no one told me about. I ask my Great Aunt (she was at the birth)....She said there was only one baby a boy. She gave him his first bath. So even the primary records and in need of major checking. My dads death record in Morgan Co. did not have any of the names, dates, only the cause of death was right.
Go figure...who and what can you say is a real primary record.
