I, John H. Shook of the Town of Ellettsville in the State of Indiana, do
make, ordain and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking
all wills heretofore made by me.
Item One--As a first charge upon my estate after the payment of provable
debts, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Kate Shook, the homestead in
the Town of Ellettsville, Indiana, now owned and occuped by me, also all
other real estate that I may own at the time of my death.
Item Two--I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Kate Shook, all
my personal property including all monies, notes and securities held by
me. All bequests mentioned in both items 1 and 2 to be hers for and during
the whole term of her natural life should she survive me.
Item Three---At the death of my said wife, Kate Shook, I give, devise and
bequeath to my beloved daughters, Beatrice A. Faulkner and Ida (illegible
initial) Rumple, equal interests in the residuary of my estate. This
bequest shall be absolute and without conditions.
I hereby nominate and appoint Otis L. Fletcher of Ellettsville, Indiana, to
be the executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Ellettsville in
the State of Indiana this 29th day of October 1904.

NOTE: The weak signature attached to this will appears to be
original. Will was witnessed by Thomas E. Minet and James W.
Marksbury. Will was proven on April 18, 1908.
