John Finley WALKER was my g-g-grandfather. He did indeed die on June 18,
1881, according to an obituary which appeared in the Bloomington Courier
for June 25, 1881. I have never seen the obituary quoted in Randi's
message. Either it ran on the first anniversary of his death, or else Randi
mis-read the date on the newspaper from which she transcribed it. Anyway, I
thought I'd set the record straight. Thank you, Randi, for finding and
sharing this little gem of an article.
