Benny,

I copied items of genealogical significance for the entire month of
November 1911 from the Bloomington (IN) Weekly Courier. Although the short
item that appeared on November 16 noted the death of John Parks and
indicated an obit for him would appear the following day, November 17, if
it was included that day, I apparently overlooked it. The next edition of
the paper appeared on November 21. I didn't see it there, either.

My suggestion is to check with the Monroe County Historical Society at
812-355-5588 to see if they might have a better obit in their clipping
file. I'll be there tomorrow in the afternoon and can do this for
you. Another idea is to check with ReAnn at the Monroe County Public
Library 812-349-3080 or <>. Several papers
were being published in Bloomington in 1911 and maybe one of the other
papers carried the obit.
