GEORGE RIILEY A BENEDICT
Newspaper Man Marries Prominent Bedford Girl

George Riley, a former well known Bloomington man, now city editor of the
Bedford Daily Mail, was marred last night at Bedford to Miss Euphemia Cook,
a most charming young lady of the Stone City. The marriage was performed
at the home of the bride's parents, Capt. and Mrs. William Cook, and was
witnessed by a few close friends of the contracting parties.

The marriage comes as a surprise to Mr. Riley's friends here in
Bloomington, but the romance which terminated last night in the happy event
has been going on since last fall. At that time Miss Cook was one of the
clerks in the McCormick Dry Good Store and Riley, on his daily rounds
gathering news, became acqauinted with the young lady, and the acquaintance
ripened into love.
Mr. and Mrs. Riley will make their home in Bedford where Mr. Riley had a
cozy home fitted up in readiness to receive his bride. The happy couple
have not only the best wishes of their host of friends at Bedford, but of
all Mr. Riley's acquaintances in Bloomington.
