DR. BRYAN'S SCHOOL NEARLY WRECKED

The historic Phillips schoolhouse southeast of the city was in the
cyclone's path and had the top taken entirely off. Besies the roof, many
tons of brick were blown off and it is considered doubtful if the old
building can be made suitable for school purposes again. This is the
school where President William Lowe Bryan of Indiana University received
his early education.
