Doris
I went to Harmony Cemetery this morning here is what I have figured out:
The stone in question is located between Jincy M Thrasher, died 1851 (that is
another error in the book which says 1891) and Nancy Thrasher, died 1854, d/o
Alfred & Jincy.
Only the bottom half of the stone was there with the death date of May 12,
1852. I later found the top half of the stone some 60 feet away and you can
barely make out
the name William. I could not make out the sir name at all. The stone was
broken where the birth date was and could not be read. Even though the Monroe
County Cemetery Book was published in 1993, some of the list that was input
to that book
date back as far as 1937. Some of the list were by DAR and WPA.

Alfred & Jincy's marriage record gives her maiden name as DRAUGHN.
I think the stone is for Jincy's father, William DRAUGHN who lived near by.
In the 1850 Census of Van Buren Twp, he was age 51, born in NC. This would
have him born around 1799. He does not appear in the 1860 Census. He would be
the right age and to be buried next to his recently deceased daughter seems
logical.

Alfred remarried and is buried further south in the cemetery with his 2nd
wife,
Catherine.

How does this all sound to you? I don't know any way that we can find proof
positive.
