Randi... citing from memory.. We were in Jasonville this past summer, just
after the new library building opened. We first went to the office of the
Jasonville Leader which is in a house on the main street on the west side of
town. We were lucky in the fact that they are not open every day. We
inquired as to whether they had old issues. We were told that there was
microfilm of their old issues at the library which was very close to their
office. We had to wait a while before the library opened as they have
restricted hours of operation. Asking at the desk, they produced a
microfilm of the newspapers which I read at a machine they had behind and to
the left (as you are facing the main desk) of the main desk. If I recall,
either it did not have a print function or it wasn't working, so I had to
hand copy the information.
As I said, Sarah died late Jan 1914 and the roll started just before that
and was the earliest that they had. From your description, either someone
doesn't know what is going on or they have moved the film back to the
newspaper since we were there.
