Subject: Records Trashed - and I am mad

I just read the article, and am outraged. I wrote a letter to David
Horn, the writer for the paper, and asked him if he could tell me
"exactly" which records of historic value were trashed, and "exactly"
which records were saved.
I also asked him if he could do a story to enlighten folks about the
loss Indiana just suffered, and possibly enlighten the caretakers of
these documents, so one day this does not happen again...........I can
not believe that "someone" did not object to this destruction of
records!......and if they did object, why were they ignored.
I know you can save only so many pieces of paper, and places to store
them. But it would have even been nice to have them microfilmed and
transcribed before being tossed.......which I know is costly, unless
people volunteer to transcribe records.
I am sure someone knew that these records were there, and could of
slowly over the years release them to the Historic society (s)
I am rambling........I am so mad I could spit.
