Hi Randi and All:
I found this description of a book about the Red Men's Lodge listed at
the Monroe Co. Genealogical Library:
480 19980303 By-laws of Aola Tribe, no. 457 Improved Order of Red Men.
Aola Tribe I.O.R.M., 1908 Smithville,Indiana HS1510 .R24 1 Improved Order of
Red Men -- Aola Tribe, No. 467 F
It should give us a clue as to what their activities were.
I would go to the library and look it up, but I'm in deep south Texas. My
great-grandfather, Ray Taylor of Harrodsburg, was a 50-year member of this
lodge.
