Surnames mentioned in this letter: FLEENER, WEDELL, MCLARRY (may be
McCLARY or McCLEARY), ARCHER, McCOY, RICHARDS, RICHARDSON, ARMSTRONG,
COOPER, COWARD, ROBBINS, TAYLOR, LYLE, LOCKE, SNODDY, McCLUNG

I am just starting a little research on the FLEENER line in Indiana.
This is a family pretty far removed but since I have some information on
them, figured I should add to it, and share what I have.

In the Allen Funeral Home Records there is:
Jacob FLEENER, died 21 June, 1910, 70 years 5 months 27 days, buried at
Unionville Cemetery, IN, parents Aaron FLEENER and Mary Ann WEDELL.

I have this family in my line, but I have James Addison FLEENER,
brother to Jacob. Is anyone researching Jacob's line? I know some
information has been posted to the list already.

This is part of what I have on the FLEENER, WEDELL line

(from the Ancestry and Posterity of the Lyles, Pioneer Settlers in
Virginia, pub. 1912)

Nancy McLARRY (my note: I think this should be McClary/McCLEARY and I
have more on her line) born 1839, married James Addison FLEENER, of
Mahalasville, IN, b. 1837, son of Aaron FLEENER, and Mary Ann WEDELL.

Children,
1. Jacob, b. 1860, farmer, Mahalasville, IN, m. 1879 to Mary A. ARCHER,
daughter of Henry and Emeline ARCHER. They had 7 children. (one of
their daughters, Martha, married James McCOY, from Richards, IN. James
was the son of Sarah McLARRY and Joel McCOY, - Sarah was sister of James
Addison FLEENER's wife Nancy McLARRY.)

2. James Monroe, b. 1862, farmer, Mahalasville, IN, m. 1 - 1882, Mary A.
RICHARDS, b. 1858, d. 1883, daughter of Alexander RICHARDS, and
Christine RICHARDSON. m. 2 - Maggie S. ARMSTRONG, b. 1866, daughter of
Robert ARMSTRONG and Nancy Cooper. had two children.

3. Mary Jane, b. 1859, (I am not sure of this birth year, it may be
1869) m. 1881 David COWARD, farmer, Mahalasville, IN son of Isaac
COWARD and Elizabeth SMITH, 1 child

4. Samuel Albert, b. 1871, farmer, Mahalasville, IN, m. Mary A. ROBBINS,
b. 1872, daughter of William D.C. ROBBINS and Susan TAYLOR, 1 child.


The McLARRY/McCLARY/McCLEARY line eventually works it's way back through
DALHOUSE by marriage, Mary LYLE, Samuel LYLE who married Sarah McCLUNG,
son of Robert LYLE and Annie LOCKE, paternal grandparents James LYLE and
Margaret SNODDY, Larne, County Antrim, Ireland. My connection with this
line, is: John LYLE was the uncle of Samuel LYLE......John is my 6th
great grandfather.

I have a lot of information on the generations of this line.....but also
have a lot of holes.........all this just to find BRISBEN information,
which is my ultimate goal!
