Hi Alan,
The following prefaced the list of name from the church:
"Vernal Regular Baptist Church was located about nine miles northwest of
Bloomington; it was founded in 1817 and became extinct in 1910. A typed copy
of the Minutes of the Church, 1817-1873, was made by Franklin College in 1930
and is in their library. Information extracted concerning the various
members covers only the period through 1850. The Articles of Faith of the
White River Baptist Association, to which Vernal Church first belonged, the
Constitution of the Vernal Church, and the list of charter members appear on
pages 1-4 of the typed copy preceding the minutes."
WAMPLER, Polley, recd by experience, Oct 7 1842; granted letter of dismissal,
Dec 12, 1845.
WHISENAND, George, recd by experience, June 1820; excluded, Nov 14, 1829.
