A VERY SAD ACCIDENT (Special to the Telephone.)

Ellettsville, April 6--Word was received here yesterday of a sad accidental
shooting resulting in the death of Mr. Micahel Galloway, an employee of the
Perry stone quarry of this place. Saturday afternoon Galloway, in company
with Harry Kelly a neighbor, procured guns and started for a duck hunt.
They had gone but a short distance when they came to a fence near William
Whisnand's. Galloway climbed over first and had gone but a few steps when
Kelly's gun was discharged by striking a rail, the whole load taking effect
in Galloway's back. He fell to the ground saying that the shot was fatal,
and inquired how the accident occurred. Galloway lingered in great pain
till 9 o'clock and died, leaving a wife and three children and a large
circle of friends to mourn his sudden end. Mr. Kelly, at this writing, is
sick in bed, his mind being almost distracted by the terrible calamity.
Galloway was in his 33rd year.
