In yesterday's issue of the Bloomington paper, Bob Zaltsberg, the editor,
wrote an article soliciting the earliest memories of those who have lived
in the area. He asks that the memories be kept short--a 100 words or less.
You can send them to him at <>.
"The memories can be of almost anything--the first time you rode in a car,
the first time you saw color television, the first time you shopped in a
grocery store. They just need to be your earliest memories." Remember to
include your name and a phone number (or e-mail) where you can be reached.
The year of your birth is also needed for reasons explained below.
This is part of a countdown to the year 2000, and Zaltsberg wants to
include memories from people, or their parents, born in each year of the
century. He will begin sharing the memories in the TELEPHONE on September 23.
