Pinx,
Agnes Snoddy married Moses Hall in Rowan County, NC. Soon afterward they
moved to KY and, about 1828, came to Monroe County IN. Moses was a veteran
of the Revolutionary War. He applied for a military pension that was
approved in 1838. On April 10, 1846, he died and was buried in the
Richland Cemetery. A few months after his death his widow, "Nancy",
applied to receive her husband's pension. Same was granted in 1848. She
died on September 14, 1855, and was buried beside her husband. Her pension
application noted the names of six children:
1. William Hall
2. Samuel Snoddy Hall mar Leanna Bittner
3. Elizabeth Hall mar William Nesbit
4. Moses Hall
5. Nancy Hall
6. Malinda Hall
The source of this information if SAMUEL AND ELIZABETH (SLOAN) SNODDY by
John Stutesman. I am also aware of other books about the Hall family in
the Monroe County Public Library.
Are you, or in anyone on this list, related to the above-named Halls?
