Marshall Deckard is the s/o King Anthony (Mone) Deckard and his second
wife, Mary J. This obit is from the Deckard genealogy book prepared by
Laura Mae Harding. The obit is undated and no source is noted. A picture
of the tombstone indicates that Marshall was born on June 14, 1893, and
died August 5, 1963. The source is probably a Bloomington, IN, newspaper.

Marshall Deckard

Marshall Deckard, 70, 710 1/2 W. Dixie, died early today at his home. He
was a retired quarryworker and a member of the Allen Creek Pentacostal Church.

Surviving are his wife, Iris; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Smith of
Bloomington; four brothers, Otto of R. 4, Herbert of R. 8, Ora of
Bloomington, and Curtis of R. 2, Bedford; two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Eads, R.
5, and Mrs. Alice Southern, R. 4; four grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Ebal church with burial in the
adjoining cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Greene and
Harrell Chapel.
