Wow! If you are right, and I'm not mistaken, John Stuart/Stewart would
have been Mone's uncle and his father. That must have been somewhat
difficult to Elizabeth to deal with, e.g., facing John whenever William
wanted to visit his sister. Dealing with an illegimate child must have
been hard enough back then, let alone continuing a relationship of any sort
witht the father.
