Hello all:
As a Christmas surprise for a friend, I thought I would try to track down some of his ancestors..so he would understand my 'hobby'!!

I just found this about his ancestor's marriage in Ontario, Canada:
Samuel George CARR , 30 , farmer , Brant Co., South Dumfries , .... married Janet McKay LEISHMAN , 24 , born Iowa USA , d/o Andrew LEISHMAN & Ann MATHER , ..married 27 May 1908 at South Dumfries, (Ontario, Canada)

With the clue of Janet's 'birth in Iowa' and her 'father's name of Andrew, and mother, Ann MATHER', I found on Ancestry.com, the 1895 census of Independence, Palo Alto, Janet's 'suspected' family....(Janet is age 11, born in Palo Alto)

I would love to be able to confirm the connection.
Can anyone help me expand on the family details? Can I find Janet's birth details?
Anyone seeking these names?
