Subject: [IAPALOAL] 1920 Census

In reference to the 1920 U.S. census, does anyone on this list know what LC
for mother tongue means?
In my case, the head of household was born in Ontario, and his mother tongue
is English. His wife was born in Nova Scotia, and her mother tongue is LC.
(her parents were both born in Nova Scotia as well)
