Thomas Eaton, Sr.'s parents are refered to as Mr. and Mrs. T. Eaton in the obituary. Do you know their full names? My Josiah Eaton migrated to the Lost Island area in 1871as a very young man after his parents had died in the Clinton, Iowa area. His father was Josiah Osa Eaton. I am wondering if Josiah went to an uncle's or cousin's place in between Emmetsburg and Lost Island and then decided to homestead, bringing most of his brothers and sisters with him.
