U.G. Edgington Died Friday Evening:

Funeral services for Ulric G. Edgington were held at the Sts. Peter & Paul's
Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. P. M. Dobberstein officiating.
Pall bearers were Matt Schmalen, Mike Klepper, Frank Sweeney, Adam Laubenthal,
Mike Heiderscheldt and Joe Schaller. Interment was in the West Bend cemetery.
Jerry Schutter had charge of the funeral.

Mr. Edgington has been afflicted with asthma for many years, but he has
always been a patient sufferer. He had a severe attack of this trouble
last week, and this was the cause of his death about 8:00 o'clock Friday
evening.

Ulric, the son of William and Evaline Edgington, was born in Alma, Nebraska,
on May 6, 1880.

On September 3, 1903, he was united in marriage to Katherine Asmussen at
Mt. Vernon, South Dakota, where he farmed for ten years. He then moved
to Worthington, Minn., where he farmed for three years. In 1920, he moved
his family to West Bend where they have made their home up to the time
of his death.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgington and family joined the Catholic church in 1925 at
the time of the death of their eldest son, Earl.

Members of the immediate family that mourn the death of Mr. Edgington are
his wife, three sons, Eldon of Royal, Ia., Verne, who is in the army serving
in Italy, and Dale, who is also in the army stationed in England; and two
daughters, Mrs. Sam (Hildred) Dunn and Miss Eileen Edgington of Hastings,
Neb.

Out of town relatives attending the services were L. M. Asmussen of Mitchell,
and A. C. Asmussen of Mitchell, S.D. both brothers of Mrs. Edgington; Miss
Beulah Edgington, niece of the deceased, and Mrs. Ellen Mason, his cousin,
both of Gilmore City, Iowa.
