Please help!!!
A recent email made reference to Irish settlers signing a " Declaration of
Intent " prior to establishing homes in Iowa.
Being the GGS of John F. Kelly and William Nicholson, both homesteaders in
Allamakee County in the 1855 - 1865 period, I have done considerable
research into the Ireland to Iowa movement, and this is the first time I
have heard of this " Declaration ".
