Yes, there are other surnames being researched--I know there is a
Marshall DNA Study, as well as others. If you go to the search engine
google and put in DNA study, it will bring back a wealth of info.
There are all sorts of labs and prices and studies. I chose to use
Genetic Technologies Lab as I know how well certified they are--there
are only 34 highly certified labs with very well trained employees in
the US and Genetic Technologies are one of the 34. They cost a little
more than some of the others. You would have to research the labs for
yourself and see which meet your criteria. By the way,
http://www.genetictechnologies.com is the website of Genetic
Technologies. A lot of other labs have websites, too. I think DNA
studies are very useful, and should provide information to get past
those brickwalls that we all run into when we are looking for paper
documents.
By the way, if you set up a study, I strongly suggest you make sure the
participants sign a release so that you can get a copy of the results.
This lets you compare results and track who is related and the migration
path of the family members.

>Dear Joan; I ran across your email on Surname Salibury and the DNA testing that you have arranged. Although I am not a Salibury, I am very interested in this type of family history research. Do you know if there are other surname testings being conducted and if there is a website listing of these surnames. I would be interested in exploring my own DNA lineage. Thank you.
