I have recently found my Sullivans on the 1880 census in Hardin Co.,Alden twp. Eugene Sullivan, age 34, wife, G.(?) Mary, age 24, Mamie, age 6, Patrick, age 4, Johanna (my grandmother), age 2, and John, age 1. I also found that Mamie was born in NY, a fact she evidently did not know when she applied for a marriage license, giving IA as her birthplace. This tells me she was born shortly after they landed from Ireland because the rest were born in Iowa. Now I have to check passenger list in 1873 and 1874, I
