Kay, when I did my great grand fathers declartation of Intent he filed it in another state ie tipicanoe county, Indiana, then proceeded to iowa, and yes it will tell you where and when they came over, the year and date he filed for his intent to become a citizen of the U S, it doens't however tell you what ship he came over on only the port he left from and where he arrived ie Port of New YorkI hope this helpsmary
