I am pretty sure this is the brother to my great grand aunt, Mary Ann Dunn
who married Patrick Joynt.

Brilliant Wedding of Mr. Thomas DUNN and Miss Honora DUGGAN

We are pleased to have an opportunity of mentioning one of the most
brilliant weddings of a much respected couple, that has ever occured on
Bankston prairie. The parties to this pleasant and enjoyable affair, were
Mr. Thos. DUNN and Mrs. Honora DUGGAN, both of Iowa township, this county.
The occasion was celebrated Tuesday afternoon at St. Clemens church, Rev.
Father C.G. McGOWAN, of Tivoli, officiating.
After the tying of the Godian knot that binds "two souls with but a single
thought, two hearts that beat as one," the assembled throng repaired to the
residence of the bride's parents. This included guests from Dubuque, Farley,
Dyersville and other places, who proceeded to enjoy themselves by "tripping
the light fantastic," and in divers [sic] and sundry ways, in which
everybody felt free to converse and be at home with everybody else.- The
terpsicorean reveries were kept up from about four o'clock Tuesday, until
the rising of the sun the next day, and then the assembled throng were
compelled to separate and repair to their own homes, each one departed
feeling that it had been one of the most enjoyable events of their lives.
Miss DUGGAN, now Mrs. DUNN, is the daughter of the well-known and highly
respected postmaster of Tivoli, and enjoys an enviable reputation as a young
lady of culture, winning amiability and well deserved personal popularity
and perhaps the highest compliment that has been paid the groom is conveyed
in the congratulations upon having won a bride of whom he is in every way
worthy.
It might be well for us to state, that for the facts in regard to the above
enjoyable epoch in the history of the two persons mentioned, we are under
obligations to our esteemed friend, Mr. C.C. Chesterman, Jr. who was
present, and speaks of it as being one of the most pleasant gatherings he
has ever attended.
