The light just dawned on me! I am working with a predominantly Irish
community in Delaware Co., IA. I should sign up to this list.
My name is Becky Teubner, and I live in Tx. However, my grandmother came
from the Silver Creek Community in Delaware Co., IA. She is 100%
Irish! And probably typical of this group I have just figured out that her
parents (my great-grandparents) were third cousins. Her paternal
grandparents were second cousins. All from the same line!
That has been part of the fun is seeing how tangled the lines can get in a
small community.
Anyway, Silver Creek Community was settled in 1852 or so by 7 related
families. For the next 20 years more relatives came to join them from
County Fermanagh.
