Dear Mr. Winters: I downloaded the entire book and was very disappointed as
it appeared to be a simply description of events and rather than names of
individuals. Can't recommend it. Thank you so much for he information.
I am interested in the Michigan project as my g-uncle was very
instrumental in formation of a bank in Sturgis, Michigan in early 1900's. I
got some material from the librarian there. The most interesting news
report dealt with a visit from his nieces , my aunts, from Portland.
Ore. As he was seeing them off on the train, he jumped down and fell
under the moving cars. The train cut off one leg and the nieces never knew
about it until they returned to their home. His name was Thomas Collins and
he had become a wealthy bachelor.with a finger in every civic pie.
Thanks again, --- Original Message -----
