Well, I have seen plenty of indexes for naturalization records (LDS has
many) but I have not yet been able to find WHERE the actual naturalization
records are hiding for my ancestors of Palo Alto county. The indexes or
final paper don't tell you much-just what country they came from!! We
already know that...

Has anybody been successful in getting the actual naturalization records
file for their ancestors in any county of Iowa????

If so, tell us how you accomplished this feat! And tell us what you gleaned
from them!

For Palo Alto Co I checked with the courthouse who doesn't have them. The
Genealogical Society told me to try a place in Minnesota. Minnesota said
they didn't have them either. They were in Dubuque Co before Palo Alto Co
but they don't have them either!!
