I have Mary Wilson who came from County Down. She was married to William
John Robinson, also from Ireland. It is not clear to me yet if they married
in Ireland or the US. Mary's Uncle, Henry Wilson, had come to the US in the
1850's. He went to PA and then came to Monroe Co. Another uncle, William
Wilson, went first to Canada. Mary's aunt, Sarah (Wilson) Ford, came to the
US after the death of Henry's wife (Amanda Jane Dent). Sarah's husband had
died in Ireland.
Mary's parents were James Wilson and Rose Walker, according to her obit.
I have no other information on Mary's husband.
Wilson and Robinson are such awful names to be researching in Ireland. They
are a dime a dozen!!
I decend from Mary's daughter, Sarah, who married Theron Hoadley. I would
love to contact decendant of her other children: James, md to Estella
Caldwell; Rosa, md to George Reed Darby. There was also Jennie -- she was a
twin to Rosa -- and John but neither of them married.
