Hi!

I am researching my Irish g.g.grandparents - Joseph GREENWOOD and Mary DELAHUNT(Y) of Dubuque Co., IA. Note: there are about 20 variations of was to spell Delahunt(y), Delehant(y), Dillihant, etc. Joseph emigrated 1845, and Mary by 1855 (possibly sooner).

Having done extensive research on GREENWOOD in Ireland - this is an unusual Irish surname, and most are likely related. So I would be interested in any Greenwoods of IRISH descent, anywhere in Iowa. Joseph was from Co. Antrim, but I have found other related Greenwoods from Co. Tyrone as well.

Thanks for this great new list!

"...but those memories I have will be gone all too soon,
leaving this world at the same time I do.....
just as the memories of my grandfathers and great-grandmothers
left with them, and unless they are given and passed on,
it is as if those things had never been..."
