Sorry Ed, Was reading my emails backward and found yours about the BOOK.
Sound great. Will look forward to reading it.
I lost several in our family in that 1861 war too, A ggrandfather who left a
wife and three young children with no support.
Another of my ggrandfathers was an assistant surgeron and was in the battle
of Vicksberg.
Most of the southern boys and men who died were brought home and buried near
their homes. The Northern troops were buried on the grounds at Vicksberg by
State Reg.
A very sad field of Honor.

Many stories and tales of hardship and trials. You can't be from the South
and not have heard these all your life. So best to not talk about them
anymore.
I'm from Texas and Texas had some serious and interesting battles too...
All should make us feel grateful to live in this free country and appreciate
what those who
have gone before have given. Their lives and livelihood so we can be FREE.

Ed I do have most information on my Dozier Line.
Thanks for your note.
Sarah
