Hi Tony,
I have been researching my family name FROY. I believe it may have been
LEFROY originally. My earliest record ( not too early) is Nathaniel FROY
marrying Sarah THORN at ST. Martins Outwich, London. I have been led to
believe they may have been Huguenot but have come to a grinding halt going
back any further. Any ideas or suggestions of where I might look?
All help gratefully received.

Can't help with the SAYERS but may have the YON family - if you already have

extracted from the Huhuenot Society's Quarto Series, XLIX, French Protestant
Refugees Relieved
through The Threadneedle Stree Church, London, 1681-1687:

YON (Yeon), Jacques, dyer (teinturier) from Rouen with w. and s. James 3.
1681 5/7 Oct. and 14 Oct.,
5/-; 3 Nov., two grants of 7/6; 10 Nov., 5/-; regular weekly grants to 18
July 1682 2.5July, last
grant 'pour passer en Hollande' £2.0.0. 40 grants in all. Total £13.9.6.

Marie Bernard (w. of J. Yon]. 1682 9 Nov., 'une brasiere'.

1681/2 8 March, Letter Patent for Denization for 'Jacobus' Yon, Mary, w. and
'Jacobus' their s. (D).

1682 23 April, Marie Ann, the dau. of Jacques Yon and his w. Marie Bernard,
was baptised at the
Threadneedle Street Church (Quarto Series, vol. XIII, p. 250, j).
