The Will of ISAAC CHAUVIN, died 14 Jan. 1734/5, mention of his daughter MADAM DUMAY and PETER her son.

A mention of PETER DUMAY as witness to the Will of ALEXANDER CHOVIN, died 12 July 1752.

Dee, while you're at it, see if you have any references to the Dumay name, who settled on the Santee River in South Carolina, probably around 1685...They apparently flourished there, with the exception of my ancestor, Steven Dumay who left there and settled in Connecticut around 1795, having married a local girl, Bethia h Chapman, from an old Connecticut shoreline family..........
