Charles A. Roux, born Nov 1, 1871 in Alsace was supposed to have descended from Huguenots....he and his mother and brother came to the States and settled in Fort Wayne, IN when he was 7.....supposedly there was quite a large Huguenot settlement both there and in Chicago. One of Charles's brother's daughters married a Poinsette also from Alsace...but they were Catholic. Charles and wife Emma McNeil ended up back in Canada where Emma was from. Would the Rouxs have been considered Huguenots or would that have been too recent for them to have been considered as such? Terry Spear of Crawford, Texas
