There also seems to be a few minor obstacles that hinder some
researchers...such as language barriers and not being familiar with the
Geography of the the originating country. I am wondering when the archives
and other repositories will think to install translation softwear on their
sites. Sure would make research a lot easier.
I was lucky to get a geography tutorial from our former list member JBS and
have since made some progress locating the region etc....where my ancestral
village was located. I found a great Web Site with an Atlas for France and
have been able to print out maps etc. Folks need to be able to find out
such info before they can pinpoint their research.
In a seperate posting I will be sending a great url for a researchers in the
Ardennnes area....Looks like journal articles pertaining to various familys,
Will list some of them so list members will be able to decide if the page
will be any help in their research. Hopefully some of the great researchers
on the list might recognize the resource cited and let us know if they have
seen it in libraries they have visitied.
