Subject: [Huguenot] GIAUQUE

My ancestors arrived in Switzerland between 1532 and 1569. At the time
their name was spelled Yoque and has passed through Jogue, Geauquae, Joquae,
Yoque and today's Giauque.

It has been suggested that they were Hugenots from France.

How would I go about researching this possibility?

I have done much research on my Hungarian and Slovak ancestors, 1700-1910,
with much success but I need some help in France particularly in such early
times.

My goals are to find that French family and their hometown.

Thanks for any help or direction. I can read French if it is not too
complex in grammar structure!

Merci beaucoup, fran
