I purchased "The Huguenot Garden" from Amazon.com. Although I have not
finished reading all of it, it seems to be a well-researched story on
Huguenot family life in in Rochelle and the mounting persecution of
Huguenots at the time of the Revocation of the Edit of Nantes. The
description of the sacrifice of the Huguenot , Pastor De Laune, is very
moving. There is a bibliography at the end of the book. I wonder if the
author was in part telling a family history that had been handed down over
the generations.
