This is my first posting, I have been reading only for the last three weeks. I
have seen my family name mentioned for the first time and it has inspired me
to write a note about what I am looking for. My paternal line I have traced
back to Daniel Guerin and his wife Marie L'Orange, leaving France from Sedan
and arriving in Virginia in 1770. Their son Pierre changed the name to
Guerrant.
My maternal line I have traced back to James Noel and his two sons, who left
France for Holland, where the sons both married and brought their wives with
them to Virginia. I have the direct line from these ancestors to me
established (I will be putting this on my web page, but all my records are
currently packed away - hope to get them out this weekend - I miss them!) from
info gathered by previous generations. I want to continue to add to what has
been passed down to me.
Anyone recognize Daniel Guerin or James Noel? Both are listed in the Huguenot
Society web page, so I hope someone out there can add to my knowledge. Thanks
