Dear "Whomever receives this:"
A few days ago I clicked on the Huguenot website but I have no idea what
is going on out there in cyberspace. I received four messages today which
I interpreted as some kind of Huguenot genealogy chat room. At any rate,
just for the fun of it I thought I'd toss a couple of Huguenot family
names out and see what happens!
My great grandfather was LeRoy Fillmore Patterson who lived in Bainbridge,
Georgia. His wife was Isabelle Gremmer Patterson and I think that her
mother must have been a Roulett (Rullet?). These ancestors are buried in
Bainbridge, GA. My late mother was into genealogy but I am (obviously) a
novice. My mother said the I should look for a Gremmer Library
(perhaps a bookstore?) in Paris, France. Since I will be teaching there
this summer for five weeks I have been wondering what to do to follow her
wishes, and my curiousity has been stirred about genealogy.
Sincerely,
Fred A. Ware, Jr., Ph.D.
