Your Lisson may have been from France but because there is a place Lison in
Calvados does not mean that this is where your Lisson ancestor came from.
There could be several centuries between the time that your ancestor left
Lison and the time that the family went to England. They could have traveled
throughout France during that time.

I suggest that you survey the name Lisson in the Huguenot records of England
to try and pin point the town of Origin. You need to go to the Family
History Center of the LDS church closed to you and look in the various files
for the surname.

Also, start searching in the protestant records of Europe such as the Leiden
collection of the Walloon Library.

Sincerely,

Therese Becker
