Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 04:07:35 EDT
Dear Friends,
After 2 days on the list I'm amazed at the amount of energy flowing around.
Might any of you know something about our family line:
- Pierre Mabille (b. 1540, in or near Neuvy, Anjou, fled to Holland after
St. Bartholomew Massacre in 1572)
- Casper Mabie (b.1575 Naarden, Holland)
- Pierre Casparszen Mabie (b. 1610 in Naarden, married Aechtje Jans
(1625-1689), went to America)
- Casper Pieterszen Mabie (b. 1660, baptized in NYC) , married Elizabeth
Scheremann (b. 1665)
- Simon Mabee (b. 1701 in New Rochelle), married Marie Landrine ( ?? - 1758)
- Jacob Mabee (b. 1740, married Mary Cotang, lived in New Rochelle and
Courtland Manor, later in Duchess Co.,NY, died about 1820)
- William Mabee of St. Stephen, N.B., Canada, (b. 1769, married Elizabeth
Getchell)
>From then on there are local family records in St. Stephen, where I was born,
if I may say so myself. I'd be grateful for any information you may have.
