In Baird's HISTORY OF THE HUGUENOT EMIGRATION TO AMERICA buried in
footnotes pp. 211, 212 (sorry, forgot to note which vol.) are the
following names, listed as some of the 1200 inhabitants of St.
Christophe (French West Indies) c. 1671:

Jean DAVID
Francois DESCHAMPS
Louis and Pierre DUBOIS
Pierre DURAND
Robert DUVAL (Yep! any relation to one of my favorite actor/directors??)
Antoine MARION
Francois and Pierre MARTIN

and in Martinique, also 1671:

Antoine BONNEAU

All of the above are noted by Baird as being later Americans.

Skip ahead almost a generation to 1684 where, in the Court at Windsor,
we find the following among those on a "Denizon" list:

Michael & Marguarita DAVID
Isaac DESCHAMPS
Isaac and Marguarita DU BOIS, their sons John, Jonas and Alexander
Jonas DURAND
John Henry MARION

Peter MARTIN and Jean MARTIN are found in similar denizon lists and
Antoine BONNEAU is often referenced in connection with the South
Carolina DUBOIS'. These denizon lists are found in FOREIGN PROTESTANTS,
AND ALIENS, IN ENGLAND (sorry, forgot to copy author, pub., dates) pp.
37-39.

Interesting note: the 1684 denization of one Alexander Dalgresse was
signed "MIDDLETON"

Anyone having proof of these seemingly connected families (and I
primarily picked on Carolinian names with whom I am familiar), please
let me know.
