Don and anybody else who can help!

First thanks to all who responded to me question! And Don i activated my
spell checker for e-mail! : )

I am looking for ancestors of William David DeMasters born in Kentucky in
1861. I do not know his parents names. I do know variations of the spelling
are DeMasters and Demastus have been verified. I have been told that
DeMaistre is how it was spelled before the family came from French from our
families oral history. Unfortunately there are no documents to do with it!
